Can the X-Men save Colossus's sister?While the X-Men go through a training exercise on their island headquarters, the evil sorcerer Belasco lures Colossus' little sister Illyana away from the X-Men's side. Sprite notices that Illyana is taking off, follows her into a temple and steps on a light circle that teleports her away. Noticing that both girls are gone, the X-Men follow their trail to the temple, where they too are teleported away by the light discs. All of them are taken to an other-dimensional Limbo, but they arrive in different locations. When Kitty awakes, she is approached by Nightcrawler, who starts touching her lewdly and Kitty realizes that this is not the Nightcrawler she knows. She flees right into the arms of Belasco, who imprisons her in a magical crystal and separates her skeleton from the rest of her body, keeping it aloft in front of the crystal. He then turns to Illyana and hands her a magical locket, promising her that she'll ascend to a glorious destiny. This scene is watched by the real Nightcrawler, crouching in the shadows. He approaches his evil double and after defeating him, takes his place at Belasco's side waiting for an opportunity to strike. Colossus and Storm arrive in a labyrinth, and Ororo is attacked by a multitude of tentacles. Colossus tries to help, but another disc of light teleports him away. Storm thinks herself doomed, but a cloaked figure magically transforms her into an amalgam of Wolverine, Colossus and Nightcrawler, enabling her to free herself, before she faints. Ororo wakes up in a lovely familiar-seeming home, normal and healed, with fresh clothes and an amulet by her side. Wolverine in the meantime is confused as he found traces of his teammates, but they are much too old. His confusion grows, when he finds the corpse of an elderly Colossus. Wolverine is then approached by Belasco's servant S'ym, who claims he killed Colossus. Their fight is short and just as Wolverine is about to be killed, another teleportation circle kicks in and he is safely sped away. S'ym is joined by the real Colossus, who is mystified by his dead double. S'ym injures him and quickly gains the upper hand in their fight, until he is diverted by the returned Wolverine. Colossus uses that chance and kicks the demon into the next teleportation circle. Wolverine explains that he was found and sent to Peter's side by the mysterious cloaked woman (who earlier helped Storm). She teleports them to Belasco's throne room, and Nightcrawler and Storm join them in fighting the sorcerer, who flees. The cloaked figure turns out to be an older version of Storm with magical powers. She restores Kitty and then urges the X-Men to leave with the amulet Storm took. While she hold off the demon horde the returned Belasco brought with him, the X-Men travel home, but in the last instant, Belasco grabs Illyana. Kitty holds onto her, but loses her grip when they return to the island temple. She once more grabs Illyana through the closing circle and together the X-Men pull her through. However, time passed differently in Limbo and the Illyana they brought back is now thirteen instead of six years old. Later Colossus blames himself for what happened to his sister as he keeps guard at her side.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0269/1317/7683/files/1781658870959-capture-1781658870958.jpg?v=1781666839
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0269/1317/7683/files/1781658916746-capture-1781658916745.jpg?v=1781666842
the-amazing-spider-man-210
The Amazing Spider-Man #210

Madame Web’s first appearance! Spider-Man seeks out Debra Whitman’s clairvoyant after he finds her image at the scene of a kidnapping. But not all is as it appears, especially at the scene of the crime. Madame Web shows Spider-Man the truth with her powers of precognition! And Spider-Man begins his tutelage with Madame Web!The Prophecy of Madame Web!At the start of this issue, Rupert Dockery, who became head of the Daily Globe's circulation a few issues ago, is giving some masked men some orders. They mention something about capturing a woman, and Dockery says that he'll close the elevators and make the switchboard inoperable so that it's easier for them. While this is happening, Peter Parker is going on a date with Debbie Whitman, and is suprised to have just heard from her that she's seeing a psychic. Although Peter is sceptical about it, saying that all psychics are phony, Debbie shows Peter her psychic's card, which advertises the psychic as a woman called Madame Web. Peter then remembers that he has a meeting at the Daily Globe, and heads there. Unfortunately, the elevators aren't working, so he changes to Spider-Man so that he can reach the top floors. In the meeting, the publisher of the Daily Globe, K.J. Clayton, finally shows herself after having been mentioned for months. Clayton says that she's going to turn the Globe over to Dockery, when the masked men Dockery was talking to earlier burst in and grab her.Luckily, Spider-Man bursts in, and stops some of the men. Unfortunately, a few of them still manage to get away with Clayton, and Spider-Man is slowed down by Dockery, who "accidentally" blocks his way as he pursues them. However, Spider-Man sees a scrap of paper on the ground, which turns out to be Madame Web's card, just like Debbie showed him before. On a hunch, Spider-Man goes to see Madame Web, assuming that the card is a clue. When he gets there, he finds Madame Web in an elaborate web-like chair, which she explains is a life-support system. Spider-Man gives Madame Web her card, and asks her about it. Madame Web says that the card belongs to one of her students, called Belinda Bell. She says that Belinda is in trouble because some sort of deceit she played on K. J. Clayton, and that Spider-Man should find her. When Spider-Man asks her where she is, Madame Web has a vision of scattered trains, as though in an accident.In a toy store in Manhattan, one of the men who kidnapped K. J. Clayton reveals that the "Clayton" they captured is actually Belinda Bell impersonating K. J. Clayton, whom Madame Web identified earlier. The real K. J. Clayton is being talked to by Rupert Dockery, who reveals that he hired Belinda to impersonate her since she was too ashamed to appear, being old and unattractive. Since all the Globe's workers saw "Clayton" give the Globe to Dockery, when Belinda is found dead, he'll gain control of the newspaper. By now, Spider-Man has worked out that Madame Web's vision of trains refers to the toy store where Belinda is being held, and so bursts in and saves her, although he dismisses of her impersonating Clayton. Spider-Man then races to the Daily Globe, where he finds Dockery has just set it on fire to kill the real K. J. Clayton. He manages to save Clayton, and then stops Rupert Dockery from getting away by flipping his car over.The next day, Peter Parker reads in the newspaper that Dockery confessed to the whole thing, including some things he had done in Los Angeles (in Spider-Woman #25-30). As a result of Dockery's plan, the Globe has suspended publication, leaving Peter without a job. However, a moment later he gets a phone call from Madame Web, who says that her powers revealed Spider-Man's identity. She says that she'll keep it a secret, and that he shouldn't worry about a job, as he's being mentioned by someone who wants to employ him at that very moment. Over at the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson is annoyed that Peter's line is busy, but says that he'll keep trying until he replies...NotesThis is the first appearance of Madame Web.Features the Hostess Twinkies Cakes ad, Mr. Fantastic In "The Power Of Gold!"Mary Jo Duffy's assistant editor credit taken from letters page header.John Romita, Jr. begins his run as regular penciler with this issue.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0269/1317/7683/files/1781659938319-capture-1781659938316.jpg?v=1781666846
the-uncanny-x-men-251
The Uncanny X-Men #251

Wolverine is being savagely tortured by the anti-mutant extremists known as The Reavers. Dr. Glosson explains that Bullseye has a cancerous growth in his brain, creating pressure that causes intense headaches and hallucinations. The doctor believes the tumor was responsible for Bullseye’s emotional collapse at Coney Island, noting that during his episodes he perceives everyone as Daredevil.On the streets, Bullseye sees devils everywhere and is soon reported attacking and killing civilians. This news interrupts the discussion at the hospital. Daredevil tracks Bullseye to a Times Square movie theater, where he is brutally assaulting patrons. Their fight escalates until Bullseye takes a moviegoer hostage and hurls a knife at Daredevil. Daredevil tries to catch it, but the blade strikes his chest and drops him. Bullseye escapes with the hostage, forcing him to take him to his apartment.Back at the theater, Manolis oversees the injured as Daredevil is taken away by ambulance. Daredevil realizes his only lead is a heavily medicated throat lozenge -- one of the hostages must suffer from a severe throat condition. The heroes manage to beat their foes, and the second Nightcrawler is revealed as Mystique, astonishing the true Nightcrawler with their physical similarities and the fact that she knows, not just his true name, but that of his foster mother.Meanwhile, Kate Pryde's teammates in 2013 infiltrate a Sentinel base in order to prevent the malevolent robots from spreading their influence across the globe. One by one, the remaining X-Men are slain until only Rachel Summers and the unconscious Kitty Pryde remain.In 1980, Mystique escapes and the X-Men realize that both Sprite and Destiny are unaccounted for. Destiny intends to kill Senator Kelly with a crossbow but Katherine manages to throw off her aim at the last moment before her mind gets exchanged with Kitty again. Before they leave, Storm asks Kelly to consider that mutants can be both good and bad, and to reevaluate his stance on mutants. Later, the X-Men wonder if they’ve managed to alter the future Kate came from.One month after the battle, the President of the United States meets with Kelly, Henry Peter Gyrich and Sebastian Shaw in private. Based on Kelly’s recommendation, the President advocates for Project: Wideawake, to be led by Gyrich, a program that includes the use of Sentinels to deal with the perceived mutant menace.LegacyThis story has had far-reaching consequences within the X-Universe, and is the basis for the 2014 X-Men: Days of Future Past film. In the film, though, Katherine Pryde facilitates the transference from present to past by placing the subject's mind "out of phase," and it is Wolverine who travels back because his healing factor makes him more likely to survive any anticipated physical trauma from the process. Also, it is Bolivar Trask (played by Peter Dinklage) who the heroes are attempting to save from Mystique.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0269/1317/7683/files/1781659755254-capture-1781659755253.jpg?v=1781666891
the-x-men-135
The X-Men #135

Jean Grey has become the Dark Phoenix, a corruption of the cosmic entity bonded to Jean.
